Why Do You Use Vodka For Your Spirits?

How Is Damson Vodka Made?

We use a British made premium grain spirit for our damson vodka recipe, produced using fermentation ethanol, derived from sugar beet. This method results in a vodka free of gluten, rye, barley, oats and wheat.

Many other liqueur or drink brands will steep large volumes of their spirits for only a few weeks using a sugar-based syrup, so we hope you’ll taste the difference in flavour offered by our stunning recipe. We pick small batches of home-grown damsons, which are then steeped in our quality vodka for 12 months – hence the Damson No12 name. This develops a greater depth of flavour, full of fruity notes, and a hint of almond, while the dark colour of the damsons leave the vodka with a beautiful jewel hue that helps it stand out.

What Ingredients Do You Use for Damson No12?

While we wouldn’t like to reveal our full recipes, the distinct flavour of our damson vodka is made by infusing British made premium quality vodka with our home-grown damsons. We also discreetly add sugar to trigger the perfect balance of both tart and sweet notes in the spirit. A lack of artificial flavours results in a smoother vodka. The ABV content is 23%.
