Celebrate the imminent arrival of spring with our Spring Equinox cocktail
Nature leads the way at Gattertop Drinks, which is why the changing of the seasons is so important to us. The infectious revival of spring rejuvenates the farm and surrounding landscape. We watch as the orchard awakens, daffodils start poking up their heads, and buds begin to sprout on the trees.
The first official day of spring is marked by the equinox on the 20th of March and if brighter, longer days aren’t reason enough to celebrate, we don’t know what is.
Working with the seasons we have crafted a unique cocktail to commemorate the awakening of the orchard. Using seasonal ingredients, we believe our Spring Equinox cocktail is the perfect serve to enjoy specifically at 6pm when it’s still light outside.
Championing award-winning Botanic No7 as its base, this cocktail celebrates the awakening flavours of the orchard. Accompanied by the warming wintery hues of apple cider and honey, brought to life with a handful of fresh mint.
SPRING EQUINOX
INGREDIENTS
50ml Botanic No7
20ml lemon juice
20ml Honey syrup
TO GARNISH
Fresh mint
METHOD
Fill a large wine glass with crushed ice and a handful of mint leaves. Stir to disturb the leaves through the ice. Pour Botanic No7, lemon juice and honey syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 20 seconds and strain into a wine glass. Top up with newton court apple cider.
