Botanic Nº7 wins world class gold IWSC awards
The best-tasting vodka in England
Botanic No 7 has won its first major award. The newly launched botanical vodka from Gattertop Drinks Co has won a Spirit Gold award at the IWSC awards with a top score of 96/100. Botanic No 7 has also won a silver award in the vodka and tonic category featuring the perfect pairing of Botanic No 7 and Double Dutch tonic.
Gemma Standeven, Female Founder comments: ‘To be awarded the highest accolade of Spirit Gold with a score of 96/100 for our Botanic No 7 is a huge accomplishment and we feel so humbled to be acknowledged. For a relatively small craft vodka brand from a single-sourced estate in Herefordshire and to have achieved such prestigious international recognition is fantastic. IWSC are the strongest awards in the world and with 4000 other entries from 86 countries from around the globe, we are so proud to win an outstanding Spirit Gold Award for our botanical vodka.’
About Botanic No 7:
Botanic No 7 is the UK’s first orchard-led vodka infused with 7 botanicals foraged throughout the year from Gattertop’s historic orchards, fields, woodlands and garden in Herefordshire. The herbs, leaves, blossom, plants and fruit from our Founder, Gemma’s recipe, are distilled in small batches and infused to capture a truly considered and authentic product. Steeped in history dating back to 1086, we believe the heritage of Gattertop’s fertile land adds a unique flavour to our fruit and botanicals. Botanic No 7 is a smooth and subtle spirit of exceptional taste that encourages the curious drinker who seeks a unique and natural flavour.
IWSC judging comments: Enjoyable herbal and grassy notes on the palate, with a touch of sweetness and flowery character. Layered with hints of rosehip, thyme and lavender. Well balanced with a fantastic overall flavour.
